Carrie Prefontaine
Carrie (Runstedler) Prefontaine completed her Ph.D. in English Literature in 2006. Her dissertation examined the works of the British Romantic-era writer, Mary Darby Robinson. Though she specializes in eighteenth-century British literature, Carrie is passionately interested in other types of literature, particularly Canadian literature. She has published a number of short articles on literature and writers. Her other "academic" interests include psychology and anthropology.
Carrie also has wide-ranging interests in popular culture. She is interested in comics and graphic novels, which she teaches regularly in her undergraduate courses. She is also interested in representations of the supernatural in popular culture.
When she is not writing, Carrie frequently wears the hat of a proofreader, editor, and copy editor.
